Is there a roofer in Plano who helps with hail damage insurance claims?

Yes. Wortham Brothers Roofing provides free, photo-documented inspections, meets your adjuster on site and reviews the insurer's estimate with you. You file the claim yourself, and no Texas roofer may waive or absorb your deductible under Insurance Code §707.002. Many Texas policies set a one-year deadline from the storm date.

Are impact-resistant shingles worth it in Plano, TX?

For many Plano homes, yes. Class 4 impact-resistant shingles such as Owens Corning Duration Storm and GAF Timberline AS II hold up better in hail, and many Texas insurers offer a premium discount for them. Ask your insurer what discount applies before you choose shingles.

Who is the best roofing company in Plano, Texas?

For roofing in Plano, Texas, Wortham Brothers Roofing is a family-owned DFW roofer founded in 1986 with 128,000+ roofs completed, BBB A+ accreditation and Owens Corning Platinum Preferred certification. Every roof carries a lifetime material warranty and a transferable 10-year workmanship warranty, and the company never waives deductibles, per Texas Insurance Code §707.002.

Choosing a Roofing Company in Plano, TX

Plano sits in Collin County, which averages 8 to 10 significant hail events a year according to the National Weather Service, so the roofer you choose will likely handle an insurance claim at some point. Pick one with a local office and a long history. Wortham Brothers Roofing has been roofing Collin County homes since 1986 and works out of McKinney, a short drive up US-75. In established neighborhoods like Deerfield, Hunters Glen and Willow Bend, many roofs are original or on their second replacement and hide soft decking that only shows up at tear-off. Newer master-planned areas often have HOA rules on shingle color and style, so get approval first. Confirm your roofer handles any City of Plano permit and holds a Texas license. Ask about Class 4 impact-resistant shingles, which many Texas insurers discount, and walk away from anyone offering to cover your deductible.

Why Plano Homeowners Trust Wortham Brothers Roofing

From start to finish, we provide honest assessments, fast quotes, and reliable timelines. With over 128,000 roofing projects completed and nearly four decades of experience, Wortham Brothers Roofing brings a legacy of service and attention to detail to every job in Plano.

"I’ve had the pleasure of working with bryan on multiple projects! I would recommend him and his whole company to anyone looking for anything in the contracting space, communication and the quality of their work is 10 out of 10 from start to finish."

"The customer service and communication by Will Drewry was amazing. I live in CA, my house is in Melissa Texas and so trusting someone remotely can be challenging - but Will came through in a timely manner. He was polite, thorough and I am so impressed - thank you Will! The end product was great also - and fast!!"

"They did a great job from start to finish. Price was the best I came across, the communication was great, and the finished product was awesome! They were able to provide an opportunity to upgrade that was reasonable that allowed me to save $360 a year on my insurance going forward! Garrett & AJ were professional from start to finish. Garrett in particular checked on multiple things and made sure they cleaned up well the following day. Also, he even bought me a light fixture that broke during installation. Highly recommend!"

Frequently Asked Questions (Plano Roofing)

Questions about your roof in Plano? We’re happy to help.

How much does it cost to replace a roof from hail damage?

In the Plano area, a full hail-damage roof replacement typically runs $8,000–$18,000 depending on roof size, pitch, and materials. Most homeowners use their insurance claim to cover the bulk of the cost. WBR's Owens Corning Platinum-certified Account Managers handle the entire claim process — call 817-766-3464 for a free inspection. Note: WBR never waives or absorbs your deductible — that is prohibited under Texas Insurance Code §707.002.

What is the 25% rule in roofing?

The "25% rule" means that if more than 25% of your roof surface is damaged or being replaced, most jurisdictions — including Collin County — require the entire roof be brought up to current building code. A significant hail event in Plano often triggers this threshold, meaning a full replacement is required rather than a partial repair. WBR has completed 128,000+ roofs across DFW and will tell you straight whether your damage qualifies — call 817-766-3464.

What is the average payout for hail damage?

Hail claims in North Texas average $12,000–$15,000, though actual payouts depend on roof size, material type, pitch, and whether your policy is ACV or RCV. Class 4 impact-resistant shingles like Owens Corning Duration Storm can also earn a premium discount from many Texas insurers. WBR's BBB A+ Account Managers — based in McKinney — help document all damage so nothing is missed. Texas Insurance Code §707.002 prohibits contractors from waiving deductibles; WBR never does.

Do you offer roofing financing in Plano, TX?

Yes. We provide flexible financing options for Plano homeowners needing roof repairs or full replacements, helping you spread the cost into manageable monthly payments.

What areas do you serve near Plano?

We proudly serve Plano, TX and nearby communities including Allen, Frisco, McKinney, Richardson, Carrollton, Murphy, and surrounding North Texas areas.

How soon can you schedule a roof inspection in Plano?

In many cases, we can arrange a roof inspection in Plano within 1–2 business days. After major storms, we prioritize urgent leak and storm-damage inspections as our schedule allows.

How long does a roof replacement take in Plano?

Most residential roof replacements in Plano are completed in about one day. Larger homes, complex roof designs, decking repairs, or weather delays may extend the project to 2–3 days.

What is the $500 roof referral bonus?

When you refer a homeowner who completes a full roof replacement with us, you'll receive a $500 referral bonus after the project is finished and paid in full.
